An Invitation to Pray the Monthly Novena

I would like to invite all parishioners to a life of prayer in 2017.  Prayer is not just a key, but rather the “master key” to everything in life. Jesus modeled a life of prayer for us, in that every moment, especially before engaging on any important business; he always withdrew to a quiet place to pray.

For this year, I am introducing a monthly novena for Queen of Peace to pray together as a parish family at the beginning of every month.  Each month will have a novena to a particular Saint or devotion of the church. I ask that we all pray, as a family, for the intention of making new, and more disciples, for Christ and that God will rekindle the fire that we received at baptism and help us to bear abundant fruits.

Each Novena will run between the 1st to 9th of  every month. In this month of January we start with the novena to the Holy Spirit.  These Novenas can be done privately.  If you are unable to follow the whole set of prayers, please spend a few minutes every day praying on behalf of Queen of Peace Parish and her intentions.

Jesus says, “Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours.”  Mark 11:24

Let us pray and grow together in faith, hope and love.

  Fr. John Eze

Traveling Crucifix

Sign up to participate to have the traveling crucifix come to YOUR home.

Available dates (May - July) are on our website, or sign up in the Gathering Space.

During the months of May - July 2017 a beautiful crucifix will travel to parishioner homes each week. Register to take home for use for family prayer. You will receive a case that includes the crucifix, white linen, candles, and suggested prayer.  Your family will receive the case at the end of the Mass on the weekend that you choose to receive it. Take it home and prepare a small altar in your home and pray daily as a family. Father John would love to visit your home during the week; simply call the parish office at 574-255-9674 to arrange. The statue can be received and returned at the Mass of your choosing (you will bring it down with the gifts at communion time). Thank you for participating in this prayer devotion.  Feel free to call the parish office at 574-255-9674 with any questions.
