Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion have a devotion to the Eucharist and a desire to serve the Parish community at Eucharistic Liturgies. Once trained and commissioned, ministers sign up to serve at two or more weekend Masses of their choice per month. They are commissioned annually on the feast of Corpus Christi.

Fully -initiated teens and adults expressing a desire to serve are appointed by the pastor and trained.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are committed to deepening their own faith. They are initially trained in the parish and attend a diocesan workshop. They agree to participate in one "retreat" per year , and are invited to attend Catechetical Institute Day or enroll in the diocesan Education For Ministry Program.
