| History
Opened by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual
Adoration in 1958. Queen of Peace Elementary School was intended to
serve the academic and spiritual needs of students in grades 1-8. Under
their direction and guidance the school was able to grow and mature
up until 1969, the year in which the Sisters announced they could no
longer sustain the school and its mission. Without the Sisters' generosity
and vision the school was forced to close its doors.
Then in 1998, the Mustard Seeds Preschool Program
formed for students between the ages of four and five. The first year
of the program was highly successful with a healthy and promising enrollment
of 31 pupils. Acting upon the success of the Mustard Seeds Preschool
Program and the recommendations of parishioners, Queen of Peace Elementary
School decided to reopen its doors.
Today Queen of Peace is proud to serve the more
than 220 students in our PreSchool through eighth grade.
